Pastor Brian's Bio: Brian became a Presbyterian when he was 20 years old, in 1990. A Pennsylvania native, he got his bachelor's degree in English in Oklahoma City in 1992.
Brian was working in downtown Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995, when the Federal Building was bombed. After the bombing, Brian's minister (at the now-defunct St. Andrews Presbyterian Church) suggested that he get out of Oklahoma City and spend a year or two overseas. Because he is fluent in French, Brian became a missionary to Cameroon, Africa, a rainforest country where French is the official language. During his 5-year stay in Africa, Brian managed a Presbyterian parochial high school with 900 students. He also taught classes and occasionally preached.
Upon returning to the States in the year 2000, Brian managed "Readers' Service," a PCUSA mission agency located in Stony Point, New York. In 2002, Brian enrolled in Pittsburgh Theological Seminary to pursue his calling to ordained ministry. In seminary, Brian won various preaching prizes and "maintained pulpits" in Ohio. Also while in seminary, he met and married another seminarian, Michelle Hanna Snyder. Brian and Michelle have two daughters: Chloe Ann is 3, and Greta Noëlle is 2.
